Data is the backbone for smart governance in Indian Cities. Globally, the use of data for city management has seen tremendous uptake in the last decade. India’s Smart Cities Mission seeks to promote data/ evidence-based decision-making for urban planning and governance. PULL is implementing data pilots in Panaji to understand barriers and challenges for the adoption of a data-driven approach and will provide recommendations to city stakeholders on good data practises, and enable inter-departmental coordination for data sharing and management.
